Meet the Principal
School Leader

Principal Christian Becker
Although I grew up near the beach on Long Island, New York, I went to school in Wisconsin, earning my Bachelor's degree from Wisconsin Lutheran College and my Masters degree from the University of Wisconsin.
After my wife and I moved to Colorado, I spent time at Denver Public Schools and Arapahoe Community College before finding my home at Collegiate Academy in 2005 as a high school social studies teacher. I fell in love with the close-knit family that is CAC's staff, students and parents, and the opportunity to work with members of that family over many years as students move through the up to fifteen years of our PK-12 learning continuum. In 2025, I had the privilege of handing high school diplomas to the graduating seniors who were Kindergartners my first year as principal, which is a unique honor but also a very humbling experience.
My wife and I love to travel and explore new places, including camping, hiking and off-roading in Colorado's incredible outdoor spaces which provide endless fresh material for my landscape photography hobby. I also enjoy tinkering with cars, and usually have one (or two?) more active projects in the driveway than my wife would prefer!
It's not always common to spend 20+ years with one school any more, and I'm often asked, "Why Collegiate?" I strongly value the personalized educational experience that Collegiate provides, as well as our school's commitment to applying learning to real world problems, keeping it relevant, meaningful, and future-ready. Our school's PK-12 continuum means I get to partner with staff and families to support students at all stages of their pre-Secondary educations, and to encourage our middle and high school students as they work as mentors and leaders with the younger members of our learning family. And finally, I believe deeply in the Core Values of our community and in building good characters, good people and good leaders in our students.
